Joseph Scheer, Professor of Print Media and Co-Director/Founder of The Institute for Electronic Arts at Alfred University. He earned a B.F.A. from Alfred University and M.F.A. and M.A. degrees from the University of New Mexico. He teaches a number of courses including: book arts, mixed media printmaking, drawing and digital imaging. He has taught advanced courses designed to push the boundaries of traditional mediums through the use of new electronic tools. His large scale works challenge notions about the intrinsic relationship between the external natural landscape and the internal psychic landscape. His work has been widely exhibited throughout the country and is in the public collections of the Dayton Art Institute, Dayton, Ohio, the Minnesota Museum of Art.
